We would like to invite you to join the DC PrimCare PBRN. You will be joining a team of health care providers and researchers who recognize the value and necessity of coming together to improve patient care and care delivery, especially in medically underserved populations. We are recruiting solo primary care practitioners, group practices and community health centers. We hope each provider is involved with direct patient care and is interested in research or seeks to support research activities to understand and reduce health disparities.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR PBRN MEMBERSHIP?

Providers who are interested in joining DC PrimCare should complete a membership enrollment form. Once the form has been returned, providers are encouraged to begin participation in active studies. Upon completion of a study, you will be recognized as an "active member" of DC PrimCare.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF MEMBERSHIP IN A PBRN?
  • Join collaborations with other practices/networks to compare patient populations across geographical settings
  • Disseminate findings on common issues
  • Find real answers to real problems specific to your practice
  • Provide core support to address administrative and quality improvement issues

WHAT CAN A PROVIDER EXPECT FROM THE DCPRIMCARE NETWORK?

Each research protocol implemented in the network is designed to reduce the burden on clinicians, their patients and staff. We provide Research Associates and other support assistance to conduct all studies. Practice representatives are encouraged to attend quarterly meetings to keep abreast of the Network's progress.
